Declare Espinho an Anti-Bullfighting City

Estimado Senor Barbosa Mota, President of the Municipality of Espinho:

I have learned shocking news that two bullfights are being announced by bullfighting promoters to take place in July in the beautiful city of Espinho. So I strongly urge you to take steps to prevent the bloodshed of animals in your city, keeping it free from the sadistic torture of animals in bullfighting. I know that Espinho has been free from bullfighting in the recent years and I call on you to keep it like that.

The Mayors of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Cascais and Sintra have announced
that they would no longer authorise bullfights in their towns. I ask you to
please make the same decision and to please consider making Espinho
Portugal's second anti-bullfighting city.

Hoping that your response to my appeal may be a positive one and that I may
be congratulating you - like many others in Portugal and all over the world
will - for not authorising the torture of animals in your town, I will be
looking forward for a response from you and I thank you in advance for your
attention,
