Dear Ladies and Gentlemen of Government and Administration,
Mahatma Ghandi is always for a lot of people in the world an ideal of a person in India, living for non-violent dealing and for freedom. Now I must hear that in your country India, where Mahatma Ghandi lived and worked, where he fought against violence, stray dogs in Bangalore are burnt while they are still alive!!!
The government has ordered for the culling of the entire stray and pet dog population. Also, since New Delhi is the venue for The Commonwealth Games in 2010, the government plans to kill all the stray dogs here, too. The dogs are being butchered. They are being caught by inexperienced dog catchers. Their jaws are being broken while they are still alive, acid is being thrown at them to 'calm' them down, they are being burnt alive and also buried alive, their throats are being slashed, cyanide is being injected in their hearts leading to the bursting of their hearts, and are being inhumanely electrocuted. There are only few animal lovers in Bangalore and they are threatened by anti-dog societies.
The peaceful people from India-where did they go? When I heard this news, the image of India was totaly broken in my mind. My sympathy for your country has finished suddenly. I can imagine that to solve the problems with dogs in the street isn´t easy. But I believe in your intelligence to solve this problem without murdering lifes! What is with this country India, with it´s religion, with the country of Mahatma Ghandi? PLEASE HELP INNOCENT ANIMALS FROM BEING KILLED FOR NO REASON.
If you don´t know how to manage this problems of the dogs: Please ask for support! Castrating dogs, to put them outside in a special good place would be a solution. BUT: This murdering, burning life with fire, these cruelties have to stop NOW!

I please you in the interest of your country, in the interst of all peacful people, to stop this violence now! Animals, dogs are living beings, they have souls and emotions. Your religion of Hinduism is a leading religion and a example for the respect of all living beings!
